Article Access

To view any articles, you must sign in with your username and password. You can create an account for free on our Login/Register page.

  • Paid Subscribers: are allowed to view current and archive articles.
  • Free Subscribers: have access to the Case Studies, Practitioner’s Digests, Abstracts, Book Reviews and Surveys & CrossOvers to The Journal of Investment Management (JOIM).
    • Individual articles not included in the free access can be purchased for $25 each.
    • Purchased articles remain attached to the account and can be read at any time

JOIM holds the copyright to all articles. Articles may not be distributed unless permission has been granted by JOIM. Read more on our Licensing & Advertising page.


Campus, Corporate & Educational Accounts

Our educational and corporate accounts allow access to our entire catalog of issues and articles. You can view the difference in plans on our Subscriptions page.

Educational/Corporate accounts do not require a username and password, an IP or multiple IP addresses are used to allow full access from any machine with that IP address. Physical copies are also sent, how many vary based on the chosen plan.

Once you purchase an educational account, we will need to receive your IP address(es) before you can access The Journal of Investment Management.

Free Account Help

We have upgraded our systems to more effectively manage subscriptions. Only users with active subscriptions as of Fall 2025 were moved over. Your current account status can be checked by logging in.

If you had a free guest account through the old system, you will need to create a new account through this new system.

Login & Password Help

If you had a free guest account with your previous system, you will need to register for a new account. If you feel there is an error or you cannot complete the password reset steps below, please Contact Us.

To claim your account on our new system, please follow the “forgot your password” steps below to reset your password and log in.

If you forgot your password, please visit the Lost Password page.

  • If there’s an account found with your email address, you will receive an email with a link to reset your password
  • Password Reset emails may go to your SPAM folder
  • Emails can take up to 10 minutes to send, however they often send immediately

If you need to change your password, please visit your Edit Account page.

  1. Input your current password
  2. Input your new password
  3. Repeat your new password
  4. Click the Save Changes button

Your password will be updated immediately.
Note, you can update your information without having to change your password; simply leave the password fields blank when editing your other information.


Payments

Individual subscriptions purchased with Visa or MasterCard are activated immediately. Corporate and Educational accounts require a list of provided IP addresses.

We accept bank/wire transfers and business checks as payment, however your account will not be activated until funds have cleared in our account. Based on banks, courier services, international transfers, and other variables, this timeframe can vary.


Shipping Information

Anytime you purchase a subscription, you need to update your shipping address. If your shipping address for physical copies is international, you will receive an international surcharge.

If you need to change your shipping address without purchasing a new subscription, you’ll need to Contact Us so our admins can update your information before the next issue is shipped.


Subscription Renewal

You can extend your subscription at any time. Navigate to your Account Dashboard to see if your subscription is active.

View your subscriptions here.

If you have an active subscription, the term you choose (1 year, 2 years, or 3 years) will be added to your subscription end date. E.g. If your subscription expires in one month and you purchase a year subscription, your subscription will be extended to a year and one month from now.

If your subscription expires, you will automatically be downgraded to our free Guest account with limited access until you purchase an active subscription.

If you do not have an active subscription and purchase one, your subscription begins today for the length of the term you purchased.
